Crossword #5 Sometimes You Have To Sacrifice The Fill for the Sake of Art, and That's Okay

I decided to try a lofty theme today, oft-attempted but never mastered, until now. Please note that some words and phrases are somewhat obscure. This is intended to broaden your horizons. XOXOXO, Gizmo

Crossword #4: Something Different

Greetings. Today's puzzle is a collaboration with my evil and somewhat "goofy" twin Omzig. It is a Something Different puzzle - entries may not be crossword-legal, and the clues hide devious trickery as well. This is a genre I, as a traditional cruciverbalist, am not accustomed to. I presented Omzig with the grid, having practiced creating a symmetrical one, and he proceeded to fill it with nonsense and wackify every corner of it and then write the clues in his trademarked "silly" tone. He has presented me with an Author's Note for the log. Author's Note: hihihi it's me omzig!!!!1!! im gizmo's goofy brother and i decided to help him make a normal, decent crossword. he seems to think nothing i wrote was real, which is weird but that's my brother for ya. i feel like he's trying to be too much like me when he writes crosswords sometimes, idk the seed entry was 41-across. this grid was weird but not too difficult to fill, with tons of cheate...

Crossword #3: A Humble World Record

You all doubted me. You said I would never amount to anything, or that I didn't understand fundamental crossword symmetry. Well, take this. Not only is it perfectly symmetrical, but it's a goshdarned WORLD RECORD, with a whopping 7 stack of 15-letter entries, each so good and in-the-language you'll wonder which was the seed. (It was actually 1-down, so none of the above.) Eat my dust, Gizmo

Crossword #2: Sea Shanties

Hello. The process of cruciverbalism has taken longer than anticipated. Uploads may come at a slower rate. I received feedback on my prior grid for its "lack of theme" and "made up words". I have decided to take these issues one at a time. Thus, here is my magnum opus, a grid with thematic cohesion, a revealer, no unchecked squares, and wide-open corners that you can breeze through like a themeless. Please enjoy with a charcuterie board. Best, Gizmo Thwomp

Crossword #1: Welcome to the Blog

Hello, my name is Gizmo Thwomp I am a puzzle constructor who aims for seriousness of purpose and polish in my crosswords. I will be posting puzzles every 3-5 minutes, assuming that I can make one in that time, which I am fairly confident in. Unlike other competitors with sizably more popular blogs, I do not aim to enter mainstream publications and, in fact, would like this blog to be the new mainstream publication, covered by Crossword Fiend on a regular basis despite having hundreds of puzzles per day. The overall quality of these puzzles should persuade them to hire more blogging staff for this purpose, however. To illustrate my crosswording ability, I have created a simple themeless puzzle. Notice the elegant symmetry, wide-open grid, and how essentially every entry is a marquee entry (I had no "seed entry"! Just put them all in at once, I say.).  Please bolster my ego in the comments and patiently await the next puzzle, which should be posted by the time you finish the f...
