Crosswords #30.1-30.3: History in the Gizmaking

  ... You were expecting a Gizmo puzzle today, weren't you? After all, he went back in time to 2023 to steal ideas from his more creative younger self. (Remember that?) He seemed convinced he'd have a puzzle every day until Gizmo Day. Where's the puzzle? Frustrated, you decide to treat yourself to a little light reading to pass the time. Something up your alley... an article about the history of crosswords? That sounds good. You start reading... Wait, what? You rub your eyes. Classic case of Gizmo on the brain. But no, it's still there. You quickly find an image of one such Gizmo square dating back to the Roman empire. Your head starts to hurt. Wasn't this called something else before...?   You now have an uneasy feeling. How could this Gizmo square exist? You're pretty sure that most of those letters weren't around at the time. Crossword #29: From the Vault

 What is shakin', bacon's, I know it's been a while and you're all starved of Gizmo Thwomp goodness but my 3-year blogiversary is quickly approaching and I'm going into high gear to make some great puzzles for you. Only one problem... This crap is difficult! You think I can churn out top-notch puzzles every day? Look, I've made 28 great puzzles, and I used up all my unique ideas in the first 10. Not to mention, I've been on a bit of a slump. I was on such a roll when I started this blog. Can you imagine what it feels like to have peaked at age 15? But no, I'm old and decrepit now and I'm no longer goated with the sauce, as the kids said when I was a kid. So no more Gizmo puzzles for the foreseeable future... well. Crossword #28: Only One Clue

 Long time, no see, After Frisco took the  Just One Clue franchise  and the kids, I was feeling empty, which is actually the ideal mood for inspiration. This puzzle may not have the same sort of starpower, but I can assure you that you won't have any cryptic clues to avoid. I should also note that I have no intent of infringing on the Just One Clue trademark and this is an unrelated idea that is in no way similar and I have a great legal team if you want to test me on that. Crossword #26: Bompzowgithmy

 Howdy, It seems like every regular-sized crossword these days is just three or four theme entries plus a revealer - yawn! As a refreshing change, here's a puzzle that's a theme entry plus 10 revealers instead. (You might want to solve  Will Nediger's puzzle  first. ) Thank you for your support. Crossword #24: You Will Solve This Puzzle (ft. Random Saucepan)

Buongiorno, It is my honor to declare today, July 25th, International Gizmo Day. On this day, one year ago, the Gizmo blog was created. I have reached widespread success and world renown since then, but my path to crossword stardom is not over. To start a day of merry crosswording and general praise of myself, I introduce you to a collaboration from the Gizmo vaults with my prodigé, Random Saucepan.
